FAQ

How should I best photograph bike lane guys?

Try to take the photo so that the entire bike lane guy is visible (don't just get the head). It's fine to have surrounding scenery in the photo, but make sure that the bike lane guy is large and prominent enough that someone looking at the photo can tell what's going on. Cell phones, while convenient, don't take the best quality photos, and aren't recommended, but a good quality photo from a cell phone can still be better than no photo at all.

Why aren't my submitted photos appearing?

To ensure the quality of photos on this site, all submissions are reviewed and approved before being added. This process is done by hand, and is not instantaneous, but is usually done within a few days. If your submissions still aren't appearing after that time, it is possible that they do not meet the quality requirements.

How exact should the location be?

As close as you can make it. Ideally a new location will be placed by double clicking on the map while zoomed in all the way. Sometimes there can be interesting bike lane guys near each other but on opposite sides of the street. Ideally, locations will be placed with enough precision as to distiguish between them.

A photo on the site is in the wrong location. How can I fix it?

Currently there is no way to edit an existing location. If you have a new photo for that location, please upload the new photo to the spot on the map where it belongs. Then use the contact form below to let me know which photo(s) need to be moved from the old, incorrect, location onto the new one you created. Please include at least the title of both the incorrect location as well as the new location. If you do not have a new photo to add, but just want to make a correction to an existant location, please use the contact form and include both the title of the incorrect location as well as the lattitude and longitude where it should be (use the "Use map center" button to find those).
